Tragically we lost our beautiful big boy on 19/6/17, found lying peacefully with no signs of any struggle.  He is sorely missed but at least we have some frozen semen stored.

Tagera stood a true 16hh & was an absolute pleasure to do anything with, a real gentle giant.  He was a very competitive endurance horse with a no fuss attitude at rides, competing & vetting alongside mares & geldings without any noise or antics.  He was retired from competition when arthritis had begun to trouble his hind fetlock joint (he fractured the cannon bone down into the joint at the 2003 Tom Quility).  Even though carrying this injury he achieved quite a few wins & Top 5 placings (mostly carrying HW) & Fittest Horse awards, despite the prognosis being that he would never compete again!

Tagera was lightly shown for several Halter Championships, but his forte was as a sire..  His progeny are tall, have good length of rein. great legs & feet, are very quiet, with relaxed attitudes but dad’s keenness to work.

Tagera always ran with a small band of broodmares & mostly had his visiting mares with him as well.
